A Happy Banco New Years?

The Banco home site only lists concert dates to October. Anyone heard any rumours as to if/where he may do New Years? I'm going to be in Europe and would gladly schedule my trip to do NYE wherever he's playing. And if not Banco, maybe someone could suggest an alternative event of similar calibre/content...London, Paris, Glasgow...?

Abductions of the Art of Noise

picked up this Art of Noise remix album and was pleasantly surprised to find the "disco gecko" remix of Snapshot... its lovely, and has Toby's trademark sound all over it. anyone else grab this one?

Toby's latest work is tremendous, and I think everyone will be very impressed once the full album is released. I am relieved to see an artist finally making their voice heard, but maintaining the integrity of the music!

Zeus No Like Techno

Anyone download those free mp3s? How did you feel abotu them?

I think it really shows off the spectrum of the new album - Gray Over Gray is very, um, heavy and soulful and slow, while Zues No Like Techno is super-bumpin and hard to sit still through! Both of them are really powerful, for really different reasons.

Unfortunately, the US release has been pushed back to June due to distribution technicalities, but you can order a copy at the end of April directly from banco.co.uk (if you don't mind paying shipping from England).

Banco Night

I was thinking of having an all Banco night at my house sometime soon. Mix it up with all of the best Banco tracks, maybe do some recording while I'm at it. Just a little get together for friends who love good music. Any and all of you are welcome to bring your Banco tracks and join in, or just come to listen and hang out. No date is set yet, I'll wait till I hear back from some of you in the area. I think it would be a totally fun time though. Who's in??

Hey - so I don't know if I wanna really join this group, but I got a Banco de Gaia cd and I fuckin' Love it and nobody I know has ever hear of it. I'm a bit beyond the usual rage age but I can just imagine groovin to their music, and similar style of music, all night long and makin' some Real nice new friends.
